Matt Van Peursem is the lead pastor of Catalyst Church. Jesus got ahold of his soul at a young age and gave him an unrelenting passion to bring people real life in the gospel, not just dead religion. He served as a worship and arts pastor in Southern California for 10 years before moving to Woodland in the summer of 2013 to start Catalyst.

In 2004, he met and married his wife Kirsten and they soon had three boys who keep them quite busy playing sports and cleaning up dirt.  They both enjoy watching sports, camping, and anything that has got the attention of their sons.
